New Century Art Gallery: Moonlight Reflections

  • New Century Art Gallery 312 S Water Street, Suite 4 Marine City, MI, 48039 United States (map)

Oil color workshop, no experience required.

All supplies included

This is a familiar light house in Holland, Michigan, affectionally called Big Red. An excellent lesson in learning how to make greys. But the ultimate effect is to learn how to create a “glow” from the moonlight reflecting on the water.

** When purchasing class, it will ask what kind of "shipping" you want. Choose any shipping method, it will show as "free shipping". Nothing will come to your home, all supplies will be at the gallery. Questions? Just call us at 1-810-748-7556.

About the artist:

I have been teaching oil painting for over 30 years and acrylic for 15 years. I am best known for my patience and gentle teaching methods. My knowledge of how to “fix” any mistake is much appreciated. The most known thing about my teaching is the Host-based Paint-In-Parties I developed and named Van-Go on Wheels. I travelled in my van for 5 years conducting acrylic paint classes in homes, businesses and organizations and in my Yellow Brush Art Studio, Yale.

My painting career took on a very public view when commissioned to paint 13 5’ x 10’ historical murals for the Yale DDA that still hang on a store in downtown Yale.

My art career is now in a new growth as a calling is leading me, a greater purpose in painting and teaching that is to express the grand nature of God. The exquisite scenes of extraordinary light inspire me, penetrating my soul and I need to express that beauty!  My hope is to draw people into seeing beyond the ordinary things of nature, to be uplifted and transformed, and to look deeper into the beauty of God’s nature to find rest and peace in this world that can be so harsh and cruel.
